Attacks on Indians Abroad Surge Sevenfold in Five Years
Many Indian people live and work in other countries.
A report from India's government shows that more of them are being attacked.
In 2021, there were 15 attacks on Indians abroad.
By 2025, that number had jumped to 104 attacks.
That is almost seven times more.
The report counts attacks in 36 different countries.
Most attacks happened in the United States, the UAE, the United Kingdom, and Canada.
Around 302 attacks were recorded over five years.
India's government shared these numbers at a meeting called the Rajya Sabha.
A minister named Kirti Vardhan Singh said keeping Indians abroad safe is India's most important priority.
He said Indian embassies watch for problems and ask other countries to investigate them.
Reported attacks on Indians abroad rose nearly sevenfold, from 15 in 2021 to 104 in 2025.
A total of 302 attacks on Indians were recorded across 36 countries between 2021 and 2025.
The US recorded the most cases with 33, followed by the UAE (32), UK (31), and Canada (30).
Ireland showed a steep rise to 10 cases in 2025, and Mali recorded 11 attacks in 2025 after none in prior years.
Minister Kirti Vardhan Singh said Indian missions remain vigilant and take such incidents up with host countries.
