Air India Names New CEO Who Almost Led Pakistan's PIA

Air India is one of India's big airline companies, and it needed a new boss.

The company picked a man named Tewolde Gebremariam.

He used to be the boss of Ethiopian Airlines in Africa.

While he was in charge, that airline became very big and successful, with many more planes and much more money.

Before he got the Air India job, he was almost going to be the boss of Pakistan International Airlines.

Pakistan's airline had picked him, but they were waiting for government approval called a security clearance.

So one person was chosen for two different airlines almost at the same time.

Gebremariam will start his new job at Air India after the old boss leaves in September.

His job will be to help Air India grow and add more flights around the world.
