The charging stations will be established in various cities, including Gautam Buddha Nagar, Lucknow, Meerut, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Agra, Mathura, Prayagraj, Kanpur Nagar, Ghaziabad, and Kanpur Dehat.

The government aims to promote electric vehicles, develop a green transport system, and attract investment.

Private companies will operate the charging stations under a 10-year contract, with subsidies and infrastructure support provided by the government.
