Farmers Protest Freeze on Rs 17.59 Crore Flood Compensation

The funds were sanctioned from the State Disaster Response Fund for crops damaged by floods from August to September 2025.
Farmers say a promised payment of Rs 10,000 per acre for losses across 20,000 acres has not reached their bank accounts.
They are demanding that the freeze be lifted, a fresh crop-damage survey be conducted, and compensation paid for this season’s losses.
BJP representatives took farmers to Hyderabad, met state ministers, held local meetings, and submitted a memorandum to district officials.
