Maharashtra's Dharashiv approves stray dog shelters, animal funeral sites

In a part of India called Maharashtra, there is a district named Dharashiv.

The leaders there decided to help dogs who live on the streets with no home.

They will build shelters to keep these stray dogs safe and cared for.

They will also make special places where people can respectfully say goodbye to animals that have passed away.

Ten different town governments will take part in this project.

The project will cost about 23.14 crore rupees, which is a lot of money.

The money will come from a special committee that plans how the district's funds are used.

A minister named Pratap Sarnaik said yes to the plan.

In most towns, the land for the shelters has already been chosen.

This will make life better for animals and for the people in the district.
