Woman Arrested With 5 Kg Ganja Near Tirupati College

Police in Tirupati arrested a 46-year-old woman named Kanala Varlakshmi.

They said she was carrying 5 kg of ganja.

The arrest happened near Vidyodaya College on Narasimhateertham Road.

Police also seized her mobile phone.

They estimated the ganja was worth Rs 60,000.

A case was filed under India’s narcotics law.

The operation was led by Tirupati West Police officers.

The district police chief warned repeat drug offenders and urged young people to avoid narcotics.
