IRCTC launches all-inclusive 10-day Japan tour from Delhi
A big Indian travel company called IRCTC has created a brand-new tour to Japan.
The tour starts in Delhi, India, and lasts for 10 days and 9 nights.
People on the tour will visit seven cities, including Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Hiroshima.
They will see old temples, free-roaming deer in Nara, and maybe even Mount Fuji, Japan's tallest mountain.
The trip includes almost everything: plane tickets, hotels, all meals, and even the visa needed to enter Japan.
The price starts at about ₹3.46 lakh per person.
Travellers will also ride Japan's famous Shinkansen bullet train.
The package includes a tour guide who speaks English, which helps first-time visitors.
The tour leaves on September 6, 2026, a quieter travel month in Japan.
One travel expert says escorted tours are easier but give you less freedom to explore on your own.
IRCTC has launched Japan Ex Delhi, a fully escorted 10-day, 9-night Japan tour departing from Delhi on September 6, 2026 and returning September 15, 2026.
The package starts at ₹3,45,999 per person on triple sharing, ₹3,49,999 on twin sharing and ₹4,73,999 for single occupancy; child rates are ₹2,92,499 with a bed and ₹2,63,999 without.
The itinerary covers seven cities — Tokyo, Hakone, Hamamatsu, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara and Hiroshima — with stops including Asakusa Temple, Mount Fuji's Fifth Station (weather permitting), the Hakone Ropeway, and a Lake Ashi pirate ship cruise.
Inclusions cover return economy airfare, four-star hotels, Japan tourist visa charges, daily breakfast, lunch and dinner, airport transfers, air-conditioned sightseeing, travel insurance (for passengers below 70), an English-speaking guide and taxes.
Comparable standalone India-to-Japan packages generally cost ₹1.7–2.5 lakh for 7–10 days but typically exclude visa processing, guided tours and end-to-end handling, although experts note escorted tours offer less flexibility than self-planned trips.

Escorted tour value
A fully escorted tour makes travel much easier for first-time visitors by handling accommodation, transport, sightseeing and guided experiences, reducing the stress of navigating an unfamiliar language, transport system and cultural norms.
Independent travel flexibility
Escorted tours usually follow fixed schedules, offering less flexibility to explore neighbourhoods, local cafés or attractions at your own pace; travellers should compare inclusions with the cost of arranging the same itinerary independently.

“For first‑time visitors, a fully escorted tour can make travelling in Japan much easier by taking care of accommodation, transport, sightseeing and guided experiences, reducing the stress of navigating an unfamiliar language, transport system and cultural norms. This can be especially valuable during the busy cherry blossom season, when hotels and transport are often booked well in advance.”

“Indian tourists should also familiarise themselves with local etiquette, such as speaking quietly on public transport, queuing patiently, maintaining cleanliness, and following rules at temples and public spaces. Carrying some cash is advisable, as smaller establishments may not accept digital payments.”
