MB Patil seeks scientific report on crop damage in Vijayapura

There is a place called Vijayapura in India where it did not rain as much as usual.

Because of that, the soil is dry and many farm plants are not growing well.

Crops like cotton, sunflower, sugarcane and a bean called tur are struggling.

A minister named MB Patil visited the farms to see the problem with his own eyes.

He asked government workers to take pictures of the damaged crops and write an honest report.

This report will help the government understand how much help farmers need.

The minister told people not to worry about drinking water because the big reservoirs are more than 94 percent full.

The government is also giving money to make sure villages have clean water.

There is enough dry fodder to feed the cows and other farm animals for about 28 weeks.

The minister will tell the Chief Minister about the hardships farmers are facing.
