Uttarakhand CM Dhami Reviews Relief After Chamoli Bailey Bridge Washout
In the mountains of India, there is a state called Uttarakhand.

A person and a camper vehicle were carried away by the water.
The leader of the state, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, wanted to make sure everyone was safe.
He told rescue workers to quickly bring food, medicine and other important supplies to people living near the broken bridge.
Rescue teams from both the state and the country were sent to help.
People are watching the rivers and streams day and night so they can act fast if water rises again.
If needed, they will move people to safer places.
The goal is to fix the road, keep people safe and make sure everyone has what they need.
A Bailey bridge at Tamaknala on the Joshimath-Malari motor road in Chamoli district was washed away on Monday after a sudden increase in water flow.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reviewed relief and rescue operations on Tuesday, ordering uninterrupted supplies of ration, food, medicines and other essentials.
A person and a camper vehicle were reported swept away in the incident at the bridge, which was constructed by the 123 Border Roads Task Force.
SDRF and NDRF teams were sent to the site, while the State Emergency Operations Centre is monitoring Chamoli and other vulnerable areas 24 hours a day.
Dhami separately met employee organizations, which raised demands including departmental promotions, the old pension scheme and state ownership of the Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan.
