3 of 22 Workers Left; Dhami Monitors Chamoli Tunnel Rescue
Some workers got stuck inside a tunnel in Chamoli after an accident.
The tunnel was full of water and rocks, which made it very hard for rescuers to reach them.
Many rescue teams came to help, including the Army and special disaster-response teams.
The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, flew to the site even though the weather was very bad.
He looked at the rescue work and talked to the people helping.
Injured workers are getting medical treatment.
Dhami says only three of the 22 workers are still waiting to be rescued.
He also called the leaders of Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand because many workers come from those states.
The most important goal is to bring every worker out safely.
Only 3 of the 22 people working at the Chamoli tunnel site remain to be rescued, according to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
Dhami visited Pipalkoti in Chamoli amid extremely adverse weather conditions to inspect and monitor the rescue operation.
Multiple agencies, including the Army, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), ITBP, police, and local administration, are working at the site.
Rescue teams are facing difficulties due to large amounts of water and rubble at the tunnel site.
Dhami spoke with the chief ministers of Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand because many of the trapped workers belong to those states.
