SBI PO Prelims Result 2026 Expected in Late August
The State Bank of India, one of the country's biggest banks, wants to hire new officers.
Many people took a test on August 1 and 2 to try to get one of these jobs.
Now the bank is getting ready to announce who passed that first test.
This announcement is expected to come in late August or early September.
People who pass will take a bigger test, called the Mains exam, on September 12.
The bank has 1,500 job openings this year.
More than 12 lakh people signed up to take the test, which is a lot more than last year.
About 15,000 people are expected to make it to the next round.
If someone is chosen, they will get a good salary and other job benefits.
The results will be posted on the bank's official careers website.
SBI is expected to release the SBI PO Prelims Result 2026 in late August or early September after the prelims held on August 1 and 2, 2026.
The SBI PO Mains examination is scheduled for September 12, 2026, in two shifts, with Objective and Descriptive Tests.
SBI has announced 1,500 vacancies for the 2026 cycle, including 1,446 regular and 54 backlog posts.
A total of 12,14,076 candidates registered for SBI PO 2026 by the July 8 deadline, up from over 6.57 lakh in 2025.
The expected General category prelims cut-off is around 58 to 65 marks out of 100.
Mains carries 75% weightage in final selection, while Interview and Group Exercise account for the remaining 25%.
Selected candidates will receive a starting CTC of around Rs 21.97 lakh per annum in metro cities.
