Bihar’s police have received 4,700 new two-wheelers.

The group using them is called the Abhaya Brigade, or Police Didi.

Police personnel will use the vehicles to patrol near schools and colleges.

They will also patrol places where women and girls often go.

Women officers received 2,700 scooters.

Male constables received 2,000 motorcycles.

The vehicles were launched by Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary in Patna.

Police chief Vinay Kumar said protecting women is the police’s most important responsibility.
