There is a big group of companies in India called Tata.

The leader of its main company, Tata Sons, has stepped down.

Now the group needs to choose a new leader.

A special committee of five people will help pick the new leader.

Three of those five people will be chosen by a group called Tata Trusts.

Tata Trusts owns about two-thirds of Tata Sons, so it has a lot of say.

Noel Tata is the chairman of Tata Trusts, and he will be part of the committee that makes the choice.

A court previously said this way of choosing is fair.

So the trusts' agreement will be needed before the new leader can take charge.
