Mexican influencer Cesar Gastelum shot to death during livestream allegedly over posts about cartel · firstpost.com

César Gastélum was a man from Mexico who made funny videos on the internet.

Almost 600,000 people followed him on an app called TikTok.

One Tuesday night he was making a live video with his friends outside a fast food restaurant in Culiacán, a city in the Mexican state of Sinaloa.

Two people wearing helmets rode up on a motorcycle, and one of them shot him.

Sadly, he died, and the scary moment was partly captured on his livestream.

Police are still investigating, and they have not announced who did it or why.

Culiacán has been a dangerous place because criminal groups have been fighting over control of the area.

Some people think the attack might be connected to crime groups, but there is no proof, and officials have asked people not to spread rumors.

His death reminds people of Valeria Marquez, another online creator who was also killed during her own live video in 2025.
