Techno India University Launches West Bengal’s First AIC
Techno India University started a new big building called an Atal Incubation Centre to help 500 new companies grow.
The centre has labs and places for people to work on new ideas.
The university also teamed up with IIT Kharagpur to offer special courses.

Techno India University launched West Bengal’s first Atal Incubation Centre (AIC) during its convocation, aiming to incubate 500 start‑ups over five years.
The 10,000‑sq‑ft centre will house laboratories, media infrastructure and innovation spaces to support entrepreneurs.
The university also became the first institution to partner with IIT Kharagpur under the Outreach Course Network micro‑specialisation programme.
Distinguished guests included NITI Aayog vice‑chairman Ashok Lahiri, IIT Kharagpur director Suman Chakraborty, actor Sabitri Chatterjee, Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra, and others who received honorary D.Litt degrees.
The convocation featured speeches on entrepreneurship, literature, science, and national development, highlighting the university’s role in fostering innovation and education.
