Indian Warships Conclude Participation in ASEAN-India Maritime Exercise
Two Indian Navy ships, INS Sahyadri and INS Kulish, took part in a maritime exercise in the Philippines.
The exercise was called AIME 2026.
Sailors met, trained and took part in activities while the ships were in harbour.
At sea, they practised helping people in disasters, boarding and searching vessels, and supplying ships.
Helicopters also practised landing on ships and moving supplies.
The training helped the participating forces work together.
The Indian Navy said this showed its commitment to working with partner maritime forces.
INS Sahyadri and INS Kulish completed their participation in AIME 2026 in the Philippines.
The exercise’s theme was “Anchored in Trust, United at Sea.”
Harbour activities included leader engagements, sporting events, yoga, community interaction and expert exchanges.
At sea, participating forces conducted humanitarian assistance, search-and-seizure and replenishment drills, among other activities.
The Indian Navy said the participation supported maritime partnerships and aligned with India’s Act East Policy and MAHASAGAR vision.
