Karnataka Police Arrest Two Suspects in Bidar Bank Robbery
Some bad people took a very large amount of money from a cash van.
They took 93 lakh rupees in a town called Bidar.
During the robbery, they fired shots and hurt the guards who protected the money.
Sadly, one of the guards, Giri Venkatesh, died from his injuries.
The robbers rode away on a motorcycle and disappeared.
The police searched for them for a very long time, almost 19 months.
Some police officers dressed up as religious pilgrims so the robbers would not notice them.
Finally, they caught the two men in a village called Damodarpur in Bihar.
The stolen money is still missing, and the police are still looking for it.
Karnataka Police arrested Aman Kumar and Alok Kumar in Damodarpur village, Vaishali district, Bihar, nearly 19 months after the Bidar robbery.
The two are accused of shooting dead cash-van security guard Giri Venkatesh, 40, during a Rs 93-lakh robbery on January 16, 2025, at Shivaji Chowk in Bidar.
Six rounds were fired as the cash van arrived to load money into a State Bank of India (SBI) ATM; another guard, Shivakumar, was injured.
They are also wanted for the same-day shooting of travel agency manager Jahangir in Hyderabad while attempting to board a bus to Raipur.
