Bengal to summon slain RG Kar doctor's friends and colleagues
A doctor who was training at a big hospital in India was badly hurt and died.
In the morning, people found her body in a room at the hospital.
Her family, friends and other doctors were very sad and angry.
They asked for a careful investigation.
The state's health department now wants to question the people who were with her that day.
They want to know what happened before she died.
They will also check if there were problems at the hospital.
Another team called the CBI is also investigating the case.
On Sunday, hospitals across the state will be quiet for two minutes to remember her.
Everyone hopes that the truth will finally be found.
West Bengal health minister Sharadwat Mukherjee said the state health department will summon friends, colleagues and teachers of the slain RG Kar doctor for questioning.
The 31-year-old postgraduate trainee was found dead in the seminar hall of the emergency building of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital on the morning of August 9, 2024.
The department will probe loopholes in the hospital's chest department and hand its findings to the investigating agencies.
The CBI set up a new SIT which took over the probe after July 7 and recorded statements of several witnesses, including the doctor's parents.
State-run hospitals and clinics across Bengal will observe two minutes' silence at 11am on Sunday in memory of the doctor.
