BRS Demands Nagarjunasagar Water Release for Left Canal Farmers
BRS leaders want the Telangana government to send water to farmers using the Nagarjunasagar Left Bank Canal.
They say the reservoir has enough water for growing crops.
G Jagadish Reddy said it contains 175 TMC of water.
He said another 110 TMC could flow into the reservoir.
BRS accused the Congress government of not releasing water because it would have to pay for electricity and farm support.
Reddy also accused Andhra Pradesh of drawing water through a regulator.
He said switching on the Kannepalli pumps could fill several other reservoirs.
