Karnataka Milk Unions Seek ₹8-10 Hike in Nandini Prices

Karnataka’s cooperative milk unions requested an ₹8-10 per litre increase in Nandini procurement and retail prices.
A delegation submitted the demand to Chief Minister D K Shivakumar at Vidhana Soudha on Tuesday.
The unions cited higher costs for cattle feed, fodder, medicines and dairy maintenance.
They said drought, reduced fodder availability and crop losses have weakened farm incomes.
Toned milk procurement in Karnataka is ₹35 per litre, below the rates cited for four neighbouring states.
