Karnataka Launches Unified Mobility App and WhatsApp Bus Ticketing
Karnataka has created one app to help people use several bus services.
The app is called the One Karnataka Mobility App.
It brings together four state road transport corporations.
Chief Minister D K Shivakumar launched the app on Thursday.
He also launched an upgraded app called KSRTC AWATAR 2.0.
People can now use WhatsApp to get bus tickets through the new facility.
Officials said this should make travel simpler because services are no longer spread across separate systems.
They also said the app could become the starting point for a larger connected transport system.
