Officials say it is now moving into an important finishing stage.

The government has paid Rs 768 crore to many families who had to leave their homes.

In total, 7,318 families are supposed to receive Rs 888.55 crore.

The first part of the project is finished.

It will provide water to farms covering 1.09 lakh acres.

It is also expected to supply drinking water to nearly 25 lakh people.

The project may provide water for industrial areas in Donakonda and Kanigiri.
