Some families had to move because of the Veligonda Project.

The project is intended to provide drinking and irrigation water to many people.

District Collector M Vijaya Suneetha gave pension payments to these families.

The payments were made at special camps in three locations.

The camps were arranged to make collecting pensions easier.

From next month, the pensions are expected to be distributed at more convenient places.

The Collector also said land documents will soon be given to eligible displaced families.

A welfare package will provide ration kits, house-warming kits, and fodder support.
