Eden Realty wants to build three fancy hotels beside the Hooghly River.

The company says the projects could cost ₹600 crore by 2030.

One hotel near the Botanical Garden may be designed like a herbal spa.

Another, in Garden Reach, is planned as a place for weddings.

A third hotel would be built near Eden Realty’s Westshore township in Shibpur.

Eden is discussing hotel operations with Mayfair Hotels & Resorts and another hospitality company.

The agreements are not final yet, and the port must approve construction.

Arya Sumant

Managing director of Eden Realty

“The riverfront redevelopment initiative taken up by Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata, has allowed us to take land parcels next to the river on a long lease for commercial development. As part of this, we plan to build three luxury hotels that will bring Calcutta’s riverfront into the hospitality map.”
