Defence Ammunition Clusters Expand Across Nellore’s Atmakur And Udayagiri
Two areas in Nellore district are being developed for defence and aerospace factories.

Several companies have proposed making explosives, ammunition, rocket engines and aerospace components there.

A Defence Ammunition Cluster is being developed at Allampadu in Atmakur constituency, with four companies under consideration for land allotment.
Ashtra Industries, Munish Defence Solutions and Sunshine Industries have received land consent for projects worth ₹190 crore to ₹500 crore.
Valeth Group has proposed a ₹500-crore solid rocket engine project, but its land allotment remains under evaluation.
Projects at the Duttalur cluster include investments by Premier Explosives, Anadrone Systems and Aditya Precitech.
The proposed projects across both clusters could create thousands of jobs in defence, aerospace and explosives manufacturing.
