Kalpana Kharat Appears Before Police, Says Husband Handled Land Deal
Nashik: Kalpana Kharat Appears Before Shirdi Police, Says Husband Handled Land Deal · freepressjournal.in

A woman named Kalpana Kharat went to the police station in Shirdi to answer questions about buying some land.

The police think she may have been part of a land deal that was not honest.

Before she met the police, the Supreme Court of India, the country's highest court, gave her temporary permission called interim bail.

That means she can stay out of jail while the case is being looked at.

Kalpana told the police that her husband, Ashok Kharat, did everything for the land purchase.

She said she did not know about the paperwork or the people connected to the deal.

The land is about four acres near a place called Nighoj, close to Shirdi.

The man who sold the land, Raosaheb Gondkar, complained that he was cheated.

The police registered a case against Kalpana, her husband, and some others, and a chargesheet has been filed in court.

Now the court will decide what happens next.
