The land was valued at about Rs 83 lakh but was allegedly sold for Rs 18.20 lakh.

The family’s owner, Ramesh Lodhi, was in jail while the sale was being investigated.

Police are also examining money transfers connected to the buyer and another accused person.

The Madhya Pradesh government suspended Pachisia and ordered a fair investigation.

She has asked the High Court for relief, but the court did not give her temporary protection.

She also faces a separate accusation involving an alleged demand for money from a truck owner.
