Madhya Pradesh Police Officer Suspended Over Alleged Land Grab
Neha Pachisia was a police officer in Katni, Madhya Pradesh.
She is accused of helping pressure a family to sell land for much less than its recorded value.
The land was valued at about Rs 83 lakh but was allegedly sold for Rs 18.20 lakh.
The family’s owner, Ramesh Lodhi, was in jail while the sale was being investigated.
Police are also examining money transfers connected to the buyer and another accused person.
The Madhya Pradesh government suspended Pachisia and ordered a fair investigation.
She has asked the High Court for relief, but the court did not give her temporary protection.
She also faces a separate accusation involving an alleged demand for money from a truck owner.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav ordered the immediate suspension of Katni CSP Neha Pachisia.
An inquiry alleges police pressure was used to sell land valued at Rs 82.86 lakh for Rs 18.20 lakh.
The FIR names Pachisia, Maroof Ahmed Hanafi and Kshitij Raj Barapatre on fraud, coercion and conspiracy charges.
