Gujarat Police Trained in Digital Tools Against Human Trafficking

Gujarat police officers received special training to investigate human trafficking.

Human trafficking is when people are illegally controlled or moved for exploitation.

The training took place at Rashtriya Raksha University over three days.

It taught officers how to use digital evidence, forensic methods and financial information.

They also learned about child trafficking and crimes involving more than one country.

Police, charities, health workers and prosecutors were encouraged to work together.

The officers visited a laboratory to see how online information can help investigations.

The training was organised because trafficking methods are changing and becoming more technology-based.
