Uttar Pradesh Releases ₹403 Crore for Ambedkar Statue Sites
The Uttar Pradesh government plans to improve 4,030 places where statues of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and other important people stand.
These sites cover all 403 Assembly Constituencies in the state.
The government has set aside ₹403 crore for the work.
Workers may build roofs, walls, railings and staircases around the statues.
They may also add lights, plants, finishing work and information boards.
Old or damaged statues can be replaced with new marble statues.
District officials and other local agencies will help organize and monitor the work.
The government wants the project finished by December 31, 2026.
Uttar Pradesh will develop and beautify 4,030 Ambedkar statue sites across all 403 Assembly Constituencies.
The government has allocated ₹403 crore for the first phase, averaging approximately ₹10 lakh per site.
Planned work includes roofs, boundary walls, railings, staircases, lighting, greenery, finishing and information boards.
