Uttar Pradesh Approves ₹380 Crore for Three New Cities
The Uttar Pradesh government wants to build and expand new cities.
It has approved ₹380 crore as the first payment for projects in Lucknow, Unnao and Rae Bareli.

The projects are covered under the Mukhyamantri Shahari Vistareekaran/Naye Shahar Protsahan Yojana, introduced in 2023.
The state has approved up to ₹655.76 crore in seed capital for the three projects, with up to 50% of land-acquisition costs eligible for support.
A ₹3,500 crore provision has been made in the 2026–27 financial year for overall new-city development across Uttar Pradesh.
