Canada deported over 3,000 Indians in six months

Canada is sending some people back to their home countries if they stay longer than allowed or break immigration rules.

In the first six months of 2026, Canada sent more than 3,000 people from India back to India.

That is almost as many as they sent in all of last year.

In 2025, Canada removed 3,779 people from India, which was the most in recent years.

Indian people also make up the biggest group of people waiting to be removed from Canada.

If Canada keeps going at this speed, 2026 might break the record.

The Canadian government is making its immigration rules stricter.

It is also reducing the number of temporary residents, like foreign workers and international students.

This is part of Canada's plan to make sure everyone follows the rules about staying in the country.
