Arifa, Tanushree and Bhavana Win Asmita Soft Tennis League
A women’s soft tennis competition took place in Poranki, Krishna district.
Players competed in sub-junior, junior and senior groups.
D Arifa won the sub-junior group.
K Tanushree won the junior group.
M Bhavana won the senior group.
Other players also received medals for finishing second or third.
Organisers said sports can help young people learn teamwork, discipline and confidence.
They hope more girls and women will play soft tennis in Andhra Pradesh.
D Arifa, K Tanushree and M Bhavana won the sub-junior, junior and senior categories, respectively.
The women’s third Asmita Khelo India Soft Tennis City League was held at SRK Tennis Academy in Poranki.
D Alia, S Sravya and M Kalyani finished second in their respective categories.
G Nithya, K Kavya, P Nandini, S Jyothsna, K Jhansi and T Suvarna shared third places.
Officials said the league supports women players and promotes leadership, discipline, confidence and teamwork.
