UP Government Approves ₹193 Lakh for Learning Corners in Schools
The Uttar Pradesh government wants young children to learn through play and activities.
It approved ₹193 lakh for 966 PM SHRI schools.
Each school will receive ₹20,000.
The schools will create four special areas called Learning Corners.
Children can read books, build with blocks, act out stories and make art.
The materials will be chosen for different age groups.
These activities are meant to help children think, communicate, move and express feelings.

The Uttar Pradesh government approved ₹193 lakh to develop Learning Corners in 966 PM SHRI schools during 2026–27.
Each selected school will receive ₹20,000 for Learning Corners in co-located Anganwadi Centers or Bal Vatikas.
The corners will include Reading, Block, Performance and Art activities for young children.
Materials will be age-appropriate for children aged 3–5 and 5–6 years, supporting learning and development.
Officials said the initiative follows the activity-based learning approach promoted by the National Education Policy 2020.
