Massive Attendance for Chennamma's Post-Funeral Rituals
A big ceremony is happening in a town called Haradanahalli in Karnataka, India.
It is to remember Chennamma, the wife of a former Prime Minister.
Lots of people, more than 100,000, will come to see her memorial.
The ceremony starts at 10 a.m.
and people can visit the memorial from 11 a.m.
Food will be served all day.
The government has set up special parking, food stalls, and shuttle buses to help everyone.
They also made sure the roads are clear and only certain cars can go near the memorial.
The Union Minister, H.D. Kumaraswamy, talked about how much people loved Chennamma and how the ceremony will be smooth for everyone.
Post-funeral rituals for Chennamma will be held on Wednesday at Haradanahalli, Karnataka.
Over 100,000 people are expected to attend, with public darshan from 11 a.m. and food served until evening.
Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy thanked artist Mahadevu for a rangoli portrait and praised Chennamma’s affection.
Traffic restrictions, separate parking, 16 shuttle vehicles, and 750 officials will manage the event.
Maiya's Group will cater the ceremony with 1,500 cooks and 16 food counters offering six sweets.
