Telangana Man Killed in Malta Road Accident, Family Awaits Repatriation
A man from a place called Telangana in India went to a small island country called Malta, which is in the middle of the sea near Europe.
One Tuesday morning, he was driving a small truck through a town called Qormi.
Suddenly, his truck crashed into a big trailer truck.
The crash was so serious that the man, whose name was Mohammed Abdul Jawad, got trapped inside his truck.
Helpers came to the scene, but sadly, the man had died from his injuries.
His family back home in India is very sad and wants his body brought back to India to say goodbye.
A special leader called an MLA, Mr. Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala, asked the authorities to help make this happen quickly.
He said the family should be helped out of kindness because it is a very difficult time for them.
The police are also looking into how the crash happened, while the family waits for the paperwork to be finished.
Mohammed Abdul Jawad, a 27-year-old from Islampura in Telangana's Jagtial district, died in a road accident in Malta.
He was driving a Toyota Toyace small truck that collided with a trailer in Qormi at around 11:45 am on Tuesday.
Jawad became trapped inside the vehicle following the crash and was declared dead at the scene.
The trailer was driven by a 39-year-old man from Tarxien, and Malta's Civil Protection Department responded to the accident.
Malakpet AIMIM MLA Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala appealed for urgent intervention to repatriate Jawad's mortal remains to Telangana.
