MCA invites bids for Navi Mumbai franchise, league expands to nine
There is a cricket league in Mumbai called the T20 Mumbai League that is run by the Mumbai Cricket Association.
Right now the league has eight men's teams, and it wants to grow by adding a ninth team.
The new team will play for Navi Mumbai, a region next to Mumbai.
The association has asked people who want to run this new team to apply.
People interested must pick up special papers called bid documents from the MCA office at Wankhede Stadium.
These papers can be collected from August 10 to August 25, 2026.
Getting the papers costs ₹2.5 lakh, and that money cannot be refunded, even if the person does not get the team.
The league is growing because its last season was very popular and exciting.
In that season, a team called MSC Maratha Royals won the championship.
The winners beat another team called ARCS Andheri in the final match at Wankhede Stadium.

Obtaining bid documents requires a non-refundable fee of ₹2.5 lakh, payable by Demand Draft or bank transfer as per the tender notice on the MCA website.
The expansion follows the successful fourth edition held in June, where MSC Maratha Royals defeated ARCS Andheri by eight runs to defend their title at Wankhede Stadium.
Sksena finished as the tournament's leading run-scorer with 261 runs to claim the Orange Cap, while Tushar Deshpande won the Purple Cap with 12 wickets.
