Sher-e-Punjab T20 League unveils six franchises, icon players

Cricket is a popular game played with a bat and ball, and it is loved by many people in India.

Punjab, a state in India, is getting its own special cricket competition called the Sher-e-Punjab T20 League.

T20 means the matches are short and fast, so they are very exciting to watch.

Six different teams, called franchises, will play in this competition.

The leader of Punjab, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, announced the six teams and their special star players.

Some of the star players, like Shubman Gill and Arshdeep Singh, have played for India's national team or in the Indian Premier League.

More than 450 players from Punjab will take part, and the teams will pick their players in an auction.

The games will be played from August 30 to September 13.

Different reports disagree about the exact stadium, naming a stadium in Mohali or Mullanpur.

This league gives young players a chance to play alongside famous cricketers and grow in the sport.
