Haryana Rights Commission Seeks Report on Student Abuse Allegations

Some high school students in a town called Panipat said their school principal was very mean to them.

They said the principal used bad words and threatened to remove their names from the school list.

They also said their classroom was locked, so they had to sit outside.

The classroom had no electricity and wires were hanging from the ceiling.

There were not enough desks and benches, and fans could not be used even in hot weather.

The toilet facilities were not good, which was unfair and unhealthy for the students.

They also said the principal was often not at school.

A special group called the Haryana Human Rights Commission heard about the complaints.

The leader of the group, Justice Lalit Batra, asked officials to send reports about what happened.

The commission wants to make sure students are safe and treated with respect.
