Healing Himalayas: Donate to Clean Mountains
The Himalayas are beautiful mountains, but they are getting dirty because of trash left by tourists and other activities.
A group called Healing Himalayas Foundation is working to clean up the mountains.
They have volunteers who pick up trash and special places called Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs) where they process the waste.
The foundation needs money to keep doing this important work.
You can help by donating just Rs 500, which will help clean 50 kg of trash.
This winter, instead of just visiting the Himalayas, you can also help heal them by donating to this cause.
Healing Himalayas Foundation is working to clean up the Himalayas by removing trash and setting up Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs).
The foundation has conducted over 1,000 clean-up drives, removing more than 2,000 tonnes of waste and establishing nine MRFs in remote regions.
Unregulated tourism, urban expansion, and poor waste management are major contributors to the pollution in the Himalayas.
The foundation is partnering with local administrations and stakeholders to promote responsible tourism and sustainable waste management practices.
