Four Women Labourers Killed in Sanwer Demolition Collapse
A group of workers was taking down an old, unsafe building in Sanwer.
During the work, a wall from a nearby house suddenly fell.
Four women workers died in the accident.
Five other people were hurt.
The incident happened near Tashan Square at about 4 p.m.
on Wednesday.
Rescue workers used a JCB machine to remove the rubble.
The injured were taken to hospital, with the most seriously hurt sent to MY Hospital.
Officials said the building’s balcony had reportedly fallen a month earlier and that a notice had been issued to its owner.

Workers were demolishing a dilapidated house when a wall of an adjoining building suddenly collapsed onto them.
Police identified the deceased as Reena, Seema, Chanda Bai and Sushila Bai, aged between 30 and 50.
Police and Nagar Parishad teams used a JCB to clear debris and took the injured to hospitals, including MY Hospital.
