Visakhapatnam civic chief Garg focuses on mitigating water scarcity

In a big city in India called Visakhapatnam, people sometimes face drinking water shortages.

The leader of the city's water department, Commissioner Ketan Garg, made a special plan to fix this.

He told his water experts to go out into the neighborhoods and check everything.

The experts checked how strongly water flows from taps, whether the water is clean, and where water trucks fill up.

They also looked at big pipes and reservoirs where water is stored.

In one neighborhood, the water was flowing well with no problems.

They tested the water in another area and found just the right amount of chlorine to keep it safe to drink.

If workers find a problem anywhere, they must fix it right away or find another way to bring water.

The plan's goal is to make sure everyone in the city has clean drinking water.
