Dagdusheth Ganpati Arrives at Pune Prem Mandir in Mayur Rath
A famous Ganpati idol in Pune was taken to a special temple replica on a decorated chariot.
The chariot was called the Mayur Rath.
Many people gathered to watch the procession.
It started in the morning from the main Dagdusheth Ganpati temple.
The idol passed through several parts of Pune before reaching Jai Ganesh Prangan.
A special installation ceremony was held there.
A religious leader from Vrindavan performed the ceremony.
Around 35,000 women will also gather to recite Atharvashirsha together.
The Dagdusheth Ganpati idol arrived at Pune’s Prem Mandir replica during a grand Mayur Rath procession.
The procession began at 8:30 am from the main Dagdusheth Ganpati temple and passed through central Pune areas.
The traditional pranpratishtha ceremony took place at 11:11 am at Jai Ganesh Prangan.
Shrihit Mohitmaral Goswamiji Maharaj of Vrindavan performed the installation ceremony.
About 35,000 women are scheduled to participate in a collective Atharvashirsha recitation on Tuesday, September 15.
