Nashik Begins Ganeshotsav With Grand Idols and Festive Fervour
Nashik started its Ganeshotsav celebrations on Monday, September 14.
Families and community groups brought Ganesh idols to their homes and decorated public spaces.
Many people visited markets to buy flowers, sweets, decorations and पूजा materials.
Traditional dhol-tasha music and chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya!”

Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations began across Nashik on Monday, September 14, with idols installed in homes and public mandals.

Markets including Ashok Stambh, Ravivar Karanja, Saraf Bazaar, Shalimar and MG Road saw large crowds buying idols and festive supplies.
Around 600 to 700 public Ganesh mandals applied for mandap permissions, while the Municipal Corporation waived mandap and stage fees.
The main immersion procession is scheduled for September 25, Anant Chaturdashi, after Bappa’s 10-to-12-day stay.
