Indigenous flowering plants star at Amrit Udyan Summer Annuals opening
Amrit Udyan is a big, beautiful garden in New Delhi, India.
It is part of the President's house, called Rashtrapati Bhavan.
This summer, it is opening a special flower show on August 16.
The show will stay open until September 15.
The best part this year is the native plants that grow naturally in India.
Some of them are Balsam, Aparajita, Rukmini, Barsha Phool, Lal Saag and Nagphana.
These plants help local birds, insects and other flowers thrive.
Visitors can also see huge banyan trees, a small babbling brook and a clock made of flowers.
Entry is free, but you must book a slot online before going.
The garden is closed on Mondays so it can be cleaned and cared for.
Amrit Udyan's Summer Annual Edition 2026 opens to the public on Sunday, August 16, and runs until September 15.
Indigenous and native flowering plants — including Balsam/Gul-mehndi, Aparajita, Rukmini, Barsha Phool, Lal Saag and Nagphana — are this year's major attraction.
The garden, spread over about 15 acres inside the President's Estate, features banyan groves, a babbling brook and a floral clock.

Sportspersons on August 29 and teachers on September 5 will get exclusive access to mark National Sports Day and Teachers' Day.
