NCB Seizes Myanmar-Origin Methamphetamine Worth Rs 43 Crore

In a separate operation, the agency also apprehended six people wanted in other drug cases.
Those six people came from Assam, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur and Tripura.
The Narcotics Control Bureau seized about 53.94 kg of methamphetamine or WY tablets in Guwahati on October 6.
The drugs, valued at approximately Rs 43 crore on the illicit market, were concealed in fabricated cavities inside two trucks’ fuel tanks.
Two people from Bishnupur, Manipur, were arrested in connection with the seizure.
The NCB said preliminary investigation indicates the consignment originated in Myanmar; investigators are seeking to identify people across the supply chain.
Separately, the NCB Guwahati apprehended six people wanted in various NDPS cases during its Absconder Drive Fortnight.
