AIIMS Deoghar Empanelled With ECHS to Benefit 1.2 Lakh Veterans
A big hospital called AIIMS Deoghar has joined a special health program for people who used to serve in the army.
This program is called ECHS, which stands for Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme.
It helps former soldiers and their families get medical care.
Because of this new agreement, about 1.2 lakh veterans and their family members in Jharkhand can get treatment without paying cash.
The treatment will be paid for through the special health scheme.
Leaders from the hospital and the army came together for a ceremony to sign the agreement.

AIIMS Deoghar was formally empanelled with the regional centre of the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), Ranchi during a ceremony at AIIMS Deoghar on Thursday.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Director of RC ECHS Ranchi and the Medical Superintendent of AIIMS Deoghar.
Nearly 1.2 lakh ex-servicemen, Veer Naris and eligible dependents across Jharkhand will gain access to advanced cashless treatment under ECHS.
Major General Jitendra Singh, General Officer Commanding, Jharkhand and Bihar Sub Area, called the empanelment a significant milestone for the veteran community.
The partnership aims to ensure beneficiaries in and around Jharkhand and Bihar no longer have to travel to distant metros for world-class medical attention.
