India-UK Initiative to Train AYUSH Doctors in Emergency Care
An India-UK partnership has announced two training courses for doctors trained in Ayurveda or homoeopathy.
Each course will last six months.
One will teach skills for supporting patients during emergencies.
The other will teach ways to help people protect their health and make healthier choices.
The courses are for graduates and postgraduates in BAMS or BHMS.
Learners will have lessons and supervised practice.
They will also be assessed.
The organisers say safe, good-quality patient care is a main goal.
Marengo Asia Hospitals and BAPIO Training Academy announced two six-month certificate programmes with the Ministry of Ayush.
The programmes are intended for BAMS and BHMS graduates and postgraduates.
One certificate focuses on acute care and emergency support, including recognising patient deterioration and escalating care.
The second focuses on preventive health and counselling on topics such as nutrition, sleep, stress and physical activity.
The courses will combine structured teaching, supervised practical training and assessment, with patient safety and care quality as priorities.
