RPF Reports Lost-Luggage Returns, Rescues and Narcotics Seizures
The Railway Protection Force shared a report on its work during its Raising Day.
It said officers returned belongings that passengers had forgotten on trains or at stations.
These items included phones, gold and laptops.
The items were returned in 219 cases and were worth more than ₹1 crore.
Officers also investigated thefts and recovered stolen passenger property.
They seized a large amount of ganja and other narcotics from railway operations.
The force said it rescued 150 children and helped reunite them with families or NGOs.
It also rescued and rehabilitated 10 adults.
RPF/SC returned lost mobile phones, gold and laptops in 219 cases under Operation Amanat.
The recovered belongings were valued at ₹1,01,81,346 and returned to their rightful owners.
Under Operation Yatri Suraksha, officers detected 71 theft cases and recovered property worth ₹13,42,140.
A railway narcotics crackdown led to the seizure of 230.54 kg of ganja and other narcotics valued at ₹14,10,00,950.
RPF Secunderabad rescued 150 children and 10 adults, reuniting or rehabilitating them.
