DRI Busts Charas Smuggling Network in Bihar
Bihar: Charas smuggling network busted in East Champaran · thehansindia.com

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) in Patna caught a person trying to smuggle a lot of charas (a type of drug) from Nepal into India.

They found the charas hidden in a special compartment inside the motorcycle's fuel tank.

The motorcycle had a clever setup that allowed it to run even with the fuel tank modified for hiding the drugs.

The DRI seized the drugs, worth about Rs 77.74 lakh, and the motorcycle.

The person was arrested and taken to court.

This is part of a bigger effort to stop drug smuggling in the border areas of Bihar.
