BEST is adding 136 buses in Mumbai for Raksha Bandhan.
Raksha Bandhan is a day when many people travel to meet family members.
The extra buses will run on Friday, August 28, 2026.
They will start operating at 10:30 a.m.
and continue during the day.
The buses will connect many parts of Mumbai and nearby areas.
They will operate from 26 different depots.
BEST may add more buses if some places become very crowded.

BEST will operate 136 additional buses across Mumbai and its suburbs on Friday, August 28, 2026.

Additional buses will serve major corridors including Colaba–Worli, Kurla–Vashi and Andheri–Borivali.
Services will operate from 26 depots, with Gorai providing 10 extra buses and several other depots providing eight each.
Bus inspectors, transport officials and security officers will manage crowds at selected busy stops.
